Germaine is the name, Germs is the suggested dimunitive. Don’t ask where this oddball of a nickname came from, because I honestly don’t know who started calling me a disease-causing bacteria. But I come in peace, of course, and no worries, I am not flea-laden. Perfectly Hygienic.

I like to be frivolous and carefree (who doesn’t?) but of course, society has its limitations, and I am ashamed to say that I am a conformist at times. Free-spirited, and yet I am also grounded, but I don’t see this as something bad. Being grounded can be good sometimes, because you might never find your way back if you fly away. I am a lot of things, and some more, because being free-spirited means you have the freedom to be anything you like, and I want to be everything I could possibly be.

I’m in the process of quitting smoking, and I daresay its the biggest obstacle I’ll ever have to overcome in my life.

I am influenced by the sounds of Athlete, Swithfoot, Beck, Belle & Sebastian, Camera Obscura, Kings Of Convenience,  Jason Mraz, John Mayer, Eisley, Feist, Gotan Project, Death Cab For Cutie,  Radiohead, and Justice to name a few.
